I’m Adam Ditchburn, a writer, facilitator and arts/heritage/culture consultant based in the UK.

Writer

My first collection of poetry ‘As the Crow Flies’ was published in 2019 and is available online at Waterstones and to order at various independent bookshops. I studied an MA in Creative Writing at York St John University, finishing with a distinction in 2020. I am a member of the society of authors and currently working on my first novel.

Facilitator

I have over fifteen years experience of facilitation, mediation and training in a wide variety of sectors. I provide thoughtful, engaging and original training, activities and projects for adults and children.

In 2019 I set up Rad Rhymers, an innovative programme of learning which brings any subject to life through poetry and other forms of creative writing. I have since worked with thousands of children in schools across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, providing one-off and recurring Rad Rhymers sessions. For more information please visit the Rad Rhymers website.

Heritage/Arts/Culture Consultant

My vast experience as both a creative practitioner, educator and community engagement specialist gives me a unique insight into the development, delivery and evaluation of projects. I am available to support museums, galleries, libraries and other organisations to diversify their programmes to engage with the widest possible audience.

Testimonials

“Adam is uniquely able to bring diverse people together and facilitate a co-creative effort that gives voice to all involved. His calm and considerate approach makes people feel comfortable and heard which is key in cultural settings. He designs and facilitates highly creative and innovative opportunities for people to engage with each other as well as culture, history and heritage on different and meaningful levels”

Dr Nicole Deufel

Excellent workshops that both the children and staff really enjoyed. Even the most reluctant of children were so actively involved and enjoying every second. We don’t have any male teachers at our school and it was so nice to hear many of my boys discuss how they would like to be a teacher after Adams session. Think that speaks volumes!
